About

Hey my name is Olivia and I am doing a creative writing/ drama project. This project is how Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” is similar and different to Stephanie Meyer’s “Twilight.” I hope you enjoy my blog and post a lot of comments! 🙂 🙂

Below this is my writing process. The clouds and lightning represent angry, powerful writing and the leaves blowing represents calm, flowing writing. The little person is me when I am done writing and how happy and strong I feel. Enjoy!! 🙂

    Olivia,

I think this page would be the perfect spot for a deeper explanation of the blogging process. How do you feel about blogging, so far? How is writing for a blog different than writing in Word? In a journal? In an email?

Remember when we drew metaphors for our writing processes? I would love to know more about your writing process on the blog! For example, when you write on a blog, are you more likely to revise? Less likely to revise? More likely to feel like your writing has to be perfect? Less likely to feel that way?

    Love,

    Katie

I think blogging got me farther to understand the way Twilight and Romeo and Juliet are the same and different. I think it should be a little deeper too. I ❤ blogging and its so fun!!!! It is different than word cuz u can let people see your work and comment on it. You get feedback. Email is wat I use to emai fun stuff to my friends. A journal is something i wouldn't get feedback in unless i let someone see it.

Yes, I remember the metaphors! I will put it on for next week or today! Yes i am more likely to revise! I don't feel like it should be perfect.

Your blog is really starting to take a neat shape! You’ve thought about this topic is so many interesting ways. So far, you:
-WROTE about it in sentences and paragraphs.
-DREW your writing process as a metaphor.
-CREATED a collage of Juliet images.
-FOUND a video that expresses a similar idea.
-WALKED around your neighborhood finding inspiration.

WOW!!! I suppose you could do all these things because the blog allows it? It seems like blogging lets you DO certain things that pen and paper don’t. Do you agree? disagree? both?!?
